Any member of the Alabama USBC Association may nominate a bowler for election to the Hall of
Fame.

Who Is Eligible

Per Article IV of the Hall of Fame Policy and Procedures, nominees must meet the following qualifications.

  1. 1

    Participation in organized USBC, ABC, or WIBC certified bowling for 15 years or more.

  2. 2

    Member, past or present, of the Alabama USBC Association for 10 years or more.

  3. 3

    Accumulated the minimum points for their category.

  4. 4

    Excelled in one or more of: Achievements, Bowling Repute, Distinguished Service, Promotions, Sportsmanship, or Leadership.

Requirements 1 and 2 are waived for Honorary nominees.

How the Point System Works

Superior Performance

Nominees earn points for:

  • Titles — USBC/ABC/WIBC, professional, and certified tournaments by level
  • Honor scores — 300 games, 800 & 900 series, eleven-in-a-row
  • Recognition — Merit Awards, All Star Teams, other Halls of Fame

Meritorious Service

Nominees earn points per year of service for:

  • Administration — officer, director, tournament manager, committee chair, delegate
  • Tournament participation — Association, Masters/Queens, US Open, All Star
  • Other Hall of Fame inductions

What to Include

    One 8×10 color photograph of the nominee

  4. 4

    Fact sheet and narrative of bowling history

A separate resume or narrative of accomplishments is encouraged.

Dear Fellow Bowlers,

Below you will find the forms for nominations to the Alabama USBC Association, Inc. Hall of Fame. Any member of the Alabama USBC Association may nominate a bowler for election to the Hall of Fame. The same application forms are used for men and women. The point system sheet is the same for meritorious candidates but differs for superior performance.

Please read the enclosed guidelines, answer all questions, complete the appropriate point system page, and include any information you feel should be included to help your candidate. The application should be returned to either the Association Manager or me by December 1.
